Grandchildren Mirrored

 Relation- (snips)

Relation’-(slips)

or

Relationships

All of our relationships are mirrors of ourselves. The Good, The Bad and oh yeah !!! The Ugly….

Our relationships will at times be:

Nice, Mean, Supportive, Challenging, Pleasurable, Painful. Attractive and Repulsive. What a word repulsive makes my pulse beat faster.

The purpose of any relationship is to find our connection to one another. The good we easily embrace while the bad stirs up denial, anger and hostility. We refuse to think we are any thing like that.

What’s y(our) eternal connection to God ??

When we seek Him do we gaze into His eyes and reach out to touch His face? Or does the mirror of ourselves cause us to turn away???

Babies seem to know there is something about touching a persons face. The eyes, the nose and the mouth. To be that close that intimate. We begin looking for ourselves in our Mothers and Fathers faces. As we grow we continue to be “mirrors” of those around us.

A child learns if it is ok to touch and embrace while looking into our faces. A small baby has no language skills but is able to interpret a happy or sad crying face and remarkable can even join in with their own emotions.

It’s then our Relationship mirror begins..

Psalm 27:8

8. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

As we look around there are those that we connect with and then there are those we despise, envy or just plain don’t understand. I want to challenge you (one of those relationship words) the next time you have to deal with one of those mean or repulsive relation-snips.

Ask the Lord where that judgment comes from. But only after you have looked into His eyes and reached out and touched the Saviors face.

Because we know that:

John 3:16

16. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Love, isn’t that what we are all looking for????

 1 Corinthians 13:11-13 (NKJV)

11. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three: but the greatest of these is love.

There is an old adage which says: “hurt people, hurt people.” What a vicious cycle.

So the next time you want to let that relation-slip pray and

“Seek God’s Face”

 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NKJV)

17. Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as the Spirit of the Lord.

For this is when we can clearly see  His eternal connections with us and our

Relationships.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

14. if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
